Small to medium sized deciduous shrub found on dry, rocky slopes, mesas, flats and along roadsides to 3,500 feet elevation. Establishes easily. Striking yellow flowers and gray-green leaves make it one of the most conspicuous plants of the desert. Poor forage value.
