Hordeum brachyantherum Meadow barley

Cool season, tufted perennial bunchgrass occurring through the Western U.S. As its common name implies, it grows in meadows and open ground from 11,000 ft. and below. Can tolerate standing water for short periods, and is saline tolerant. It is palatable to all classes of livestock and can be useful for dryland pasture applications at higher elevations.
