Cool season, drought tolerant, tall, annual grass, adapted to most sites throughout the USA. A hybrid cross between common wheat and cereal rye. Extremely good forage producer and highly palatable. Best used when maximum forage is desired while slower developing perennials establish. Spring and winter varieties available; also Quickguard, a sterile variety for short-term temporary cover.
