Penstemon angustifolius Broadbeard penstemon (beardtongue)

Very drought tolerant, native perennial; full sunlight. Pink to lavender or bright blue showy flowers blooms May and June. Grows in clusters from a woody base. Leaves are covered with a waxy surface. Best adapted to sandy soils on hills and slopes but also adapted to medium-textured soils and calcareous soils.
